If you’ve over-serviced a client by 25%, you will be working today — and for the rest of the year — for nothing. You have already given the client all the time they will pay you for this year.
While it’s very important to focus on how much you’re servicing a client each month, it’s more important to monitor your spending compared to the entire program.
Your time can fluctuate based on activities and the number of billable days in each month. Don’t lose sight of the where you stand year-to-date. Make sure that your time system tracks this easily for you.
