This month’s Bloomberg article confirmed what agency leaders feared: if we aren’t more flexible about remote working policies, we’ll lose employees.
Owners tell us staff resignations are skyrocketing. To deter competitive agencies recruiting the nearly 40% of employees who now demand flexibility, we’ll need to embrace that, following Pandemic, our structures have shifted — and not just the brick-and-mortar ones.
We’ll need to develop more trust, institute better monitoring and accept continued online conferencing. We could use the opportunity to negotiate other trade offs, such as asking remote-working employees to cover earlier or later shifts to elevate and enhance client service.
