With the election just two weeks away, tensions are high all over. As employers, you’ll want to be aware of the impact on your team.
• Consider encouraging employees to take time on or before Nov. 3 to vote in person (some are recognizing Election Day as a paid holiday).
• Acknowledge that the results — or waiting on the results of — Election Day and the days after may be tough for many.
• Be mindful of conversations that can derail productivity and encourage people to take time for space if needed.
• Remind staff to avoid commentary that may offend others with different views.
